Tesamorelin binds to and stimulates GHRH receptors with similar potency to endogenous GHRH. Aside from GH release, it can have nootropic benefits and neuroprotective benefits, it can reduce triglycerides, decrease carotid intima-media thickness (cIMT), reduce visceral fat, and reduce CRP.

Tesamorelin is synergistic with Ipamorelin and the two are typically recommended to be used in combination. Ipamorelin is a selective GH-Secretagogue and grehlin receptor agonist (grehlin stimulation compares to GHRP-6/MK-677 with less appetite stimulation side effects). Ipamorelin is unique compared to other GH-Secretagogues because it does not release the same volume of cortisol (stress hormone, can be catabolic), acetylcholine (excessive neurotransmission responses), prolactin (reduction in sex-hormone production and increased side effect profile), and aldosterone (secreted by adrenals to regulate salt/potassium and blood pressure).

*Tesamorelin and Ipamorelin when used in combination have been shown in studies to be FIVE TIMES as beneficial than using either as a stand-alone treatment.
