BPC-157 is a 15 amino acid partial-sequence of Body Protective Compound, isolated from human gastric juice. Locally, BPC has been shown to have significant impact on healing soft tissue injuries and also has exhibited analgesic effects. Systemically, BPC has shown to protect organs, aid in the prevention of ulcers, and combats leaky gut, IBS, GI cramps, and Crohn’s Disease.

Thymosin is a hormone secreted from the thymus whose primary function is to create T cells for immune system function, as well as to develop B cells to plasma cells to produce antibodies. TBfrag4 (TB500) is part of the actin monomer-sequestering proteins, and it plays a major role in tissue repair. TB500 is one of the first genes to be upregulated after injury, and is often prescribed for acute injury, surgical repair, and for athletes – however it has recently gained traction for hair regrowth in combination with PRP and/or allogeneic stem cell based sources.

MGF (aka IGF-1EC) is a split variant or isoform of IGF-1, but has more specific action relating to initiation of muscle hypertrophy and repair of local muscle damage. Mechanically overloaded muscles express MGF, which ultimately activates muscle satellite stem cells that donate nuclei to the muscle fibers that are required for repair of microtears sustained from mechanical overload. MGF is essential for tissue repair.

KPV is a peptide found in alpha MSH hormones and has anti-microbial, anti-inflammatory, and immune boosting properties. Much of the literature surrounding KPV has focused on IBD and related conditions, as it has a marked effect on the inflammatory pathways that are responsible for the exacerbation of inflammatory gut symptoms. There are many scenarios in which KPV has been used for various inflammatory conditions, but it also has the ability to reduce scarring which can be very useful in treatment modalities from aesthetics to musculoskeletal.
